After hearing lots of great reviews on Calvert Trust holidays, a company that provides bespoke outdoor adventure holidays in the countryside for disabled adults and children. We thought our service users would love the excitement of going on an adventure.
So we showed them the website, so they could see the activities they could do whilst on holiday. They were both very excited and happy to go, so we booked them the holiday located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of Exmoor National Park.
It was a long drive, but once we arrived it was completely worth the time travelling. The centre was set in such beautiful surroundings and we felt so welcome. Our activities were all organised for us and we were put into groups with other people. The activities were fully inclusive and we all participated in cycling, abseiling, zip wire, rowing, crate building/climbing, horse riding, archery and forestry. In the evenings we had entertainment and discos and everyone had such a great time and even made new friends who we plan to keep in contact with and visit. Overall the service users really enjoyed their experiences and the great outdoors and can’t wait to go back.
