The service is a close walk to local shops and the local area provides a range of learning and recreational amenities. Public transport is easily accessible enabling access to a broad range of community opportunities. The high-quality support we provide is based upon a therapeutic support model. We have our own Positive Behaviour Support Specialists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists. Our aim is to enable people with complex needs to maximise their skills and abilities, maintaining a successful tenancy and live fulfilling lives.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity of working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health and adult care which has had a major impact in my work ethics and the way I view life from their angle. I have over three years experience in care. I have a BSC in Mass Communication and a Level 3 in Adult care including other mandatory trainings. I have a strong passion for my job and celebrate every milestone with the individuals I support. I am driven by purpose, ambition and desire to leave a positive mark anywhere I go. My favourite hobby is travelling.
I have worked in Health and Social Care for over 20 years and care managed for over 15 years. I have had the privilege of managing across the sector including Dementia services, residential care services, Mental Health, supported living and Learning Disability services. I’m also a qualified Health and Social care trainer and lecturer and have worked with special needs adult learners in college. I have a passion for my job and an advocate for quality, person-centred support for vulnerable individuals.
