A Goal Inspired by Passion

In 2025, Tina, one of our wonderful Liaise Influencers, set herself an exciting long-term goal: to perform in a live concert.

A passionate music lover, Tina has always enjoyed attending concerts and experiencing live performances. Inspired by these experiences, she decided it was time to step into the spotlight herself.

 

Turning a Dream into a Plan

With support from her keyworker, Tina used the SMART approach to break her goal into clear and achievable steps.

Together, they created a pathway that allowed her to gradually build the skills and confidence needed to perform in front of an audience. Tina began attending a weekly music group, where she could explore her interests in a supportive and encouraging environment.

 

Building Confidence Through Music

Tina’s journey began with drumming. Through regular practice both at home and during music sessions, she developed a strong sense of rhythm and mastered the basics.

As her confidence grew, so did her willingness to try new things.

Soon, Tina decided to explore singing.

 

Finding Her Voice

The move into singing marked a significant turning point in Tina’s journey.

By taking part in live music sessions, she discovered not only a new skill but a genuine passion. Regular practice, encouragement and commitment helped her develop her abilities and express herself in new ways.

Last month, Tina achieved the goal she had been working towards.

Standing in front of a live audience, she performed with confidence and pride while supported by familiar faces from her home who came along to cheer her on.
