Lulworth has one registration with the Care Quality Commission however comprises two separate buildings plus a smaller annex named Blake. Both are residential homes registered to provide support for people with learning disabilities, people on the autistic spectrum and people with physical disabilities. Some people may have additional mental health issues.
Lulworth, the larger of the two buildings, accommodates 11 people; bedrooms are spread out over two floors. Communal areas include an open plan lounge leading into a dining area.
Blake accommodates 5 people. Corridors are spacious and ideal for individuals in wheelchairs as they are able to move freely and independently around both buildings. Both services share an attractive patio garden that divides the two buildings and is easily accessible for people.
Lulworth and Blake are situated in walking distance from Worthing seafront, within close proximity to shops and other town amenities.
I have been working in the care sector since 2013. I began working as a Support Worker followed by promotion to Team Leader then Deputy Manager. Since 2019 I have worked as the Registered Manager at Lulworth and Blake. I am so happy to work in support of such wonderful people. I am proud of my amazing teams and the fact that we never stop enjoying making a difference to people’s lives. I relish opportunities to expand my experience, face new challenges and progress my career. In my spare time I enjoy surrounding myself with my family and friends and having a good time. I love holidays with lots of sunshine!
I started working in care sector in 2009 as a support worker at Lulworth and with time I became a Deputy Manager. As I graduated Psychology at the University, helping people was always close to my heart. I obtained other qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, and training related to the role. I always believed in equality of people we are supporting, recognised their diversity and promoted inclusion in all aspects of living to achieve desired outcomes.
