The Burrows Achieves Excellent PAMMS Rating Following Recognition for Exceptional Advocacy

The Burrows, our residential home in East Anglia, has achieved an Excellent PAMMS rating, receiving the highest possible outcome in both Involvement and Information and Personalised Care and Support. The home also achieved Excellent ratings for Respecting and Involving People Accessing the Service, Consent, and Co-operating with Other Providers.

The achievement marks a significant milestone in The Burrows’ journey. The home was acquired by Liaise at a time when quality issues had been identified. In response, a comprehensive improvement plan was implemented, with colleagues and managers working together to drive positive change across the home. Their dedication, determination and focus on delivering high-quality, person-led support have transformed the home, culminating in this outstanding result.

This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism and person-led approach of colleagues at The Burrows, who work every day to ensure the people they support are listened to, respected and able to make meaningful choices about their lives.

Alongside its Excellent ratings, The Burrows achieved Good ratings across all other assessed domains, including Safeguarding and Safety, Suitability of Staffing and Quality of Management. Positive outcomes were also recognised across key areas including care and welfare, meeting nutritional needs, medicines management, staffing, quality monitoring and record keeping.

The assessment highlights the team’s commitment to delivering personalised support that is tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences and aspirations. Whether supporting people to develop greater independence, build relationships, access their communities or pursue personal goals, colleagues at The Burrows are focused on helping people live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

The result builds on a strong track record of quality across our East Anglia homes and reflects the culture of advocacy, compassion and continuous improvement that exists throughout the region. Earlier this year, Lilas, Shulas, Ashwood and Salcasa all achieved Good PAMMS ratings, while one of our Midlands supported living services recently received an Excellent rating.

Earlier this year, this commitment was recognised when the team at The Burrows received a NorCA Star Award from the Norfolk Care Association for their outstanding advocacy and dedication in supporting a person with highly complex needs. The award highlighted the team’s determination to challenge barriers, champion the individual’s rights and work tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Together, these achievements demonstrate what great support looks like in practice: placing people at the heart of decision-making, recognising potential rather than limitations, and never losing sight of what matters most to the people we support.

Most importantly, the Excellent PAMMS rating is a reflection of the positive experiences of the people who live at The Burrows. Behind every rating are people making choices, achieving goals, maintaining relationships and living lives that are meaningful to them.

Congratulations to everyone at The Burrows on this fantastic achievement. Thank you for your continued dedication, passion and commitment to delivering outstanding support every day. And, most importantly, thank you to the incredible people who live there and make The Burrows such a welcoming, vibrant and positive place to call home.
