Lisa has made outstanding progress since moving to St James Mews in July 2016. Before this, she faced frequent behavioural challenges and found it difficult to engage in activities.
Thanks to the unwavering support of the staff, Lisa has transformed. She is now celebrated for her friendliness and kindness and has embraced key roles at home, including acting as the home’s receptionist and garden overseer – warmly welcomes visitors and diligently cares for the plants. Lisa also frequently participates in activities such as baking, karaoke, and recycling, which she is particularly passionate about.
As her confidence and well-being have grown, Lisa is now able to enjoy outings to Bluewater shopping centre, the day centre, and the bowling alley in Bexleyheath without any issues. The day centre host has repeatedly praised Lisa’s positive transformation and always looks forward to her participation in the music class.
The staff at St James Mews love having Lisa around. Her positivity is infectious, bringing a warm, uplifting presence to the home. Lisa’s journey has enriched her life and inspired those around her, creating a supportive and joyful atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
