Liaise Opens New Specialist Supported Living Service in Cambridgeshire

Liaise has opened a new specialist supported living service, The Gables, in Littleport, Cambridgeshire. Having purchased and remodelled the property, the service now provides tailored supported living for up to six individuals.

The Gables offers support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, including those with complex needs, behaviours of distress, and co-occurring mental health conditions.

A structured, person-led approach

The Gables has been developed to provide a structured and supportive environment, with a clear focus on delivering consistent, person-led support within a community setting. Our aim is to promote stability, independence, and overall wellbeing for every person we support.

Support is underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and the PROACT SCIPr-UK framework, ensuring a proactive, responsive, and evidence-based approach.

Our teams are trained in non-restrictive, trauma-informed practice and are supported by in-house PBS practitioners. We also work closely with external health and clinical professionals where required, enabling support to be tailored to each individual’s needs.

Designed with and around the people we support

The Gables has been carefully co-developed with the people we support and their next of kin to ensure the environment meets real needs.

The service includes:

  • Self-contained apartments with private facilities
  • Shared communal and outdoor spaces to encourage connection
  • Sensory-informed design to create a calmer, more predictable environment

Lisa Yearn, Regional General Manager, said:

“The Gables has been developed to meet a clear need for specialist, community-based support. Our focus is on ensuring people feel safe, understood and supported by a consistent team who can respond to their individual needs.

By combining the right environment with skilled, trauma-informed support, we aim to create the conditions for people to build stability, develop independence, and move forward in a meaningful way, tailored to each person’s strengths, needs and goals.”
