Champions network

A driving force for positive change

We believe our team’s insights are vital to creating a great place to work. That’s why we established the Champions Network, a group of representatives from each of our homes who meet regularly to share experiences, ideas, and perspectives.

The Champions Network isn’t just a forum for discussion – it’s a driving force for positive change. By bringing together diverse voices from across our organisation, we ensure everyone’s views are heard and valued. This collaborative approach allows us to continuously improve, making Liaise an even better place to work.

Our champions also provide critical feedback on new initiatives, such as the introduction of systems and processes. Their input helps us refine and tailor these initiatives to better meet the needs of our team, ensuring that every change we implement is practical and beneficial.

Through the Champions Network, we empower our colleagues to actively contribute to our shared success, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and motivated to make a difference.

Influencers network

Using our voices to shape our future together

The people we support are the true experts in creating environments where everyone can thrive. To harness their insights, we established the Liaise Influencers Network – a group of representatives from the people we support who regularly meet to share experiences, ideas, and perspectives.

Their contributions are essential, advising and guiding us on the needs and aspirations of those we support. Their lived experience drives the development of our care.

In addition to discussing their day-to-day experiences, the Influencers provide critical input on new initiatives, such as staff recruitment and service design. Their insights help us tailor these initiatives to better meet the needs of those we support, ensuring any proposed change we implement is practical, relevant, and beneficial.

Through the Influencers, we ensure that our homes continuously evolve, becoming places where everyone is heard and supported to live their best life.

The People's Charter

Reflecting our aspirations and enabling our choices

Based on feedback, the Influencers developed the People’s Charter, an easy-read guide reflecting aspirations and lived experiences. It ensures homes stay person-centred, empowers independence, supports fulfilling lives, and guides staff in delivering meaningful care.

The Influencers Charter was originally crafted in an easy-read format by the Influencers themselves and outlines their key desires and expectations for their lives and support. It is vital because it centres on lived experiences and preferences, ensuring their needs and wishes are at the forefront of our practices.

Creating a charter that directly involves the voices of those we support ensures that our services are truly person-centred. It formalises the commitment to not only hear but actively respond to the needs, preferences, and rights of the individuals we support. This charter is a testament to our dedication to empowering those with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. It is also a guiding document that ensures all staff align with these values and practices.
