A Magical Trip to Disneyland Paris
In the first two weeks of September, two excited groups from our Lulworth & Blake home in Worthing embarked on a journey to the enchanting world of Disneyland Paris. With warm weather setting the perfect tone, they boarded the Eurostar, brimming with anticipation. The train ride was as delightful as the destination itself – smooth, comfortable, and accompanied by friendly staff who made everyone feel welcome. A light onboard meal added a touch of indulgence, and before they knew it, they had arrived, ready for a dream holiday filled with magic and wonder.
Emily and Rebecca’s Group
Emily and Rebecca, accompanied by their supportive team, couldn’t wait to dive into the Disneyland Paris experience. Their hotel rooms were nothing short of magical. Spacious and thoughtfully designed for comfort and accessibility, the Toy Story-themed décor- complete with bright colours and playful touches—was a source of delight, transporting them straight into Andy’s world.
Mornings began with an indulgent buffet breakfast that catered to every palate. From fresh fruit and flaky croissants to hearty hot dishes, there was something for everyone. Endless drinks ensured no one started their day without a pick-me-up. Evenings were just as special, with dinner offering a rich variety of international and French dishes, leaving everyone satisfied and energised for the adventures ahead.
Gillian and Rosalind’s Group
Gillian and Rosalind’s group shared the same excitement as they arrived at their vibrant, Toy Story-themed hotel. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made them feel at home from the start. The rooms were equally accessible and comfortable, ensuring a relaxing stay for all.
Breakfast was a shared highlight, with the group savouring warm croissants and fresh coffee while planning their daily explorations. Dinners were lively affairs filled with laughter and new culinary discoveries, as the buffet offered an array of mouth-watering options to please every taste.
Exploring the Parks
Both groups spent their days immersed in the magic of Disneyland Paris. At the heart of the park, the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle stood in all its glory – a fairytale vision that left everyone awe-struck. Its shimmering towers and enchanting atmosphere made it a favourite spot for photos and dreamy moments.
Disney characters were a constant delight, appearing throughout the park to wave, pose for pictures, and spread joy. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy were just a few of the beloved favourites they encountered. The parades were a spectacle to behold, with dazzling floats, energetic performers, and catchy Disney tunes creating a festival of colour and fun. The groups sang along and waved enthusiastically, their smiles as bright as the parade lights.
Rides and Attractions
The rides were another highlight of the trip, catering to thrill-seekers and gentle explorers alike. The timeless “It’s a Small World” ride proved a hit with everyone, as they floated through vibrant scenes of dolls representing cultures from around the globe, all singing the cheerful anthem. The charm of the ride stayed with them, the tune humming softly in their minds long after it ended.
Meeting Mickey Mouse was a dream come true for many. A few lucky group members even had the chance to pose for photos with him, creating cherished memories they would treasure forever.
Weather and the Magic of Disneyland
Though the weather occasionally turned rainy, it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Instead, the group embraced the drizzle as part of the adventure, splashing through puddles and finding shelter in indoor attractions. The magic of Disneyland was far too captivating to let a little rain get in the way of their fun.
Memories to Last a Lifetime
As their magical trip drew to a close, both groups looked back on the incredible memories they had made. The staff’s kindness and attentiveness ensured everyone felt comfortable and supported. From the joy of meeting Disney characters to the laughter shared over meals and the thrill of the rides, every moment added to the tapestry of an unforgettable experience.
On their final evening, the groups gathered for one last dinner together, reminiscing about their adventures. The room was filled with laughter and stories, and they all agreed – it had been the perfect way to bid farewell to summer. Promises were made to return and relive the magic again someday.
After three nights of excitement, wonder, and dreams coming true, they boarded the Eurostar home. With hearts full of joy and heads brimming with memories, they left Disneyland Paris behind – but the magic they experienced would stay with them forever.
