An Independent Day Out with Liaise
The blog below is a personal account from Tina, one of our Liaise Influencers from the East Anglia region, as she shares her independent day out with Liaise to see Blue at The Rolling Circus in Norwich.
Tina was so excited to see Blue at the Rock & Roll Circus event! With a little help from staff, she booked her taxi herself and even phoned in July to double-check the booking. Everything seemed fine.
But on the big day, the taxi didn’t arrive. Tina called the company, Elm, but no one answered. Although frustrated, she didn’t let this stop her. After discussing it with staff, she decided to take the bus instead.
Managing the Journey Independently
After getting ready, Tina walked to the bus stop on her own and caught the bus to Norwich. From there, she found the right stop for another bus to the concert. She managed the entire journey independently and was really proud of herself. This was a key part of her independent day out with Liaise.
Concert Fun and Memories
When she arrived, Tina met up with her friend. They had coffee and drinks, explored the surroundings, and enjoyed listening to the bands. Her phone battery died before the concert, so she couldn’t take as many photos as she wanted, but some were captured on her friend’s phone instead. Tina danced all night and had an amazing time. After the concert, her friend gave her a lift home.
Despite being let down by the taxi, Tina didn’t let it ruin her experience. She found another way to get there and made the day truly memorable. Her confidence and independence shone throughout her journey.
