Meet Fiona, Our New Tenancy and Property Liaison Officer

We’re pleased to introduce Fiona, who has joined Liaise as our new Tenancy and Property Liaison Officer, supporting our growing Supported Living services.

Fiona’s role is all about making sure the homes we provide are safe, compliant, and well managed – while also supporting our teams and the people we support with any tenancy-related matters.

Supporting safe, well-managed homes

A key part of Fiona’s role involves overseeing property compliance across our Supported Living services. This includes working with colleagues and external partners to ensure all required documentation is up to date, coordinating inspections such as Fire Risk Assessments, and supporting the progress of leases.

She also works closely with our Head of Estates and other teams to make sure our properties continue to meet the high standards we expect.

Helping people feel secure at home

Alongside property compliance, Fiona supports operational teams and the people we support with tenancy matters. This can include helping to resolve tenancy breaches, managing rent or service charge queries, and providing guidance on housing-related issues.

She also works with teams to make sure individuals are accessing the benefits and support they’re entitled to – helping them maintain stability and independence in their homes.

Working across teams

Fiona’s role involves close collaboration with a range of teams, including Finance, Estates, and Operations. Regular check-ins and shared working help ensure that tenancy, property, and compliance matters are managed smoothly and consistently.

As part of her day-to-day work, Fiona keeps track of compliance across properties, follows up on outstanding actions, and works with colleagues across the organisation to keep everything on track.

A passion for Supported Living

Fiona’s journey into Supported Living began in 2013, driven by a passion for supporting people to live independently and achieve equal opportunities.

Over time, she developed a particular interest in the housing side of Supported Living – recognising the important role that safe, well-managed homes play in supporting positive outcomes. Since then, she has continued to build her knowledge across both housing and care.

Making a difference

For Fiona, success is about contributing to positive outcomes – whether that’s ensuring a property meets compliance standards, resolving a tenancy issue, or helping someone access the support they need.

Spending time visiting services is a key part of her role, helping her better understand the people we support and the environments they live in, and enabling her to provide more effective support.

Looking ahead

As Supported Living continues to grow at Liaise, Fiona is looking forward to developing her role further and continuing to support our services.

Most importantly, her focus remains on helping create safe, stable environments where the people we support can live as independently as possible and thrive.
